One year ago today, on Saturday August 25th, Amy & Steve got married at Three Bridges Event Centre in St. Jacob’s, Ontario with a rustic blush & navy-themed wedding!
I still remember how amazing their day turned out. It was raining all day and we were all 99% sure the ceremony was going to be moved indoors. But the rain died down to a drizzle shortly before the ceremony started, so outdoors it was. Steve and his groomsmen hustled hard to bring the chairs back outside for the ceremony right before Amy got there. He knew how much it meant to Amy to have the wedding outside, so the first opportunity they got to do it outdoors, he went for it.
As if the lessenedĀ rain wasn’t a miracle enough, the moment everyone started walking down the aisle, the rain completely stopped. The ceremony was so perfect. The reception… holy smokes, it was a PARTAYYYYY.
Instead of clinking glasses for a kiss, there was double dutch!
Instead of cake, they cut a tiered pizza!
Instead of sunset photos, we did firework photos!
Instead of your typical sweet speeches, the sweet speeches were accompanied with hilarious things as an ode to some of Amy’s life decisions.
Her maid of honour brought a funnel for Amy & Steve to use to chug in front of their guests — an ode to that one time Amy brought a funnel to a party they went to. Amy’s older brothers made them toast with warm apple juice — something Amy used to love when she was a kid.
The whole wedding was such a hoot and definitely one we’ll never forget!
Now here we are at their one year wedding anniversary. It has been an absolute joy and pleasure to watch them continue to grow in love. They welcomed the cutest baby boy to their family a couple months ago.
OurĀ #ADMCouples are the definition of kind, down to earth, hardworking human beings who have fun, laugh loud, know how to party, put each other first, and live to make a difference. Amy and Steve are exactly that. We serve the best human beings ever!
