June 7, 2019
One year ago today, on Thursday June 7, Erika & Nathanael were married at the Toronto Ontario Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a classy mauve wedding theme!
Not only were each of the dresses beautifully picked by each of the bridesmaids themselves to match the colour Erika had requested, but the blooms on the temple grounds happened to match their mauve palette as well! The blooming bushes created a stunning backdrop to compliment Erika & her bridesmaids perfectly!
Being “married in the temple” is what you might commonly hear from members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Temple wedding ceremonies are not like regular wedding day ceremonies. The sacred ceremony is held inside the temple, typically a small gathering of 10-20 people. LDS members believe that when they are married, or “sealed“, in the temple, they are married/sealed together for time and all eternity, not just “till death do you part”.
Erika & Nathanael promised forever to each other. It’s an incredibly beautiful thing.
We have loved watching their marriage adventures, from achieving travelling to each of their dream destinations (Istanbul & Rome!!) to supporting each other in their education & careers.
Erika & Nat, we hope you have an amazing day celebrating 365 days of your eternity together!!
With lots of love,
