One year ago today, on Saturday September 15th, Cody & Dylan got married at Pondvalley Manor in St. Thomas, Ontario! They had a vintage boho outdoor ceremony with florals that were beautifully created with rich autumn tones. Their reception had all the rustic vibes in the part-tent, part-barn dining area, and the cocktail patio space looked over the pond(valley) and golden corn field.
Cody and Dylan are one talented duo! Cody has her own calligraphy business and did all their wedding signs and name cards herself! They are also both talented singers and their emcees paid tribute to that by asking guests come up and sing a love song to Cody & Dylan in order for them to kiss! It was so fun to hear all their musically talented friends come up and perform for them.
The emcees and both of Cody and Dylan’s parents said such wonderful words about the newlyweds. It was so evident in the speeches how much Cody & Dylan are loved and cherished. And it’s because they love. They are kind, they are caring, and there is no shortage of their love for each other and for those who are blessed with their friendship. It wasn’t hard to see where they got it from either. Both families had an essence of love and acceptance that filled the room. It was beautiful to witness two become one. Not just Cody and Dylan, but their families as well.
Our ADM Couples are the best in the world because of their love, kindness, and hearts of gold. Cody & Dylan are no exception to that. We’re truly blessed to have witnessed so much love in so many ways on their wedding day!
Happy Anniversary, Cody & Dylan! We hope you had the best weekend celebrating. Here’s to many more years to come!
Lots of love,
Ariana & Alex

I still remember how amazing their day turned out. It was raining all day and we were all 99% sure the ceremony was going to be moved indoors. But the rain died down to a drizzle shortly before the ceremony started, so outdoors it was. Steve and his groomsmen hustled hard to bring the chairs back outside for the ceremony right before Amy got there. He knew how much it meant to Amy to have the wedding outside, so the first opportunity they got to do it outdoors, he went for it.
As if the lessened rain wasn’t a miracle enough, the moment everyone started walking down the aisle, the rain completely stopped. The ceremony was so perfect. The reception… holy smokes, it was a PARTAYYYYY.
Instead of clinking glasses for a kiss, there was double dutch!
Instead of cake, they cut a tiered pizza!
Instead of sunset photos, we did firework photos!
Instead of your typical sweet speeches, the sweet speeches were accompanied with hilarious things as an ode to some of Amy’s life decisions.
Her maid of honour brought a funnel for Amy & Steve to use to chug in front of their guests — an ode to that one time Amy brought a funnel to a party they went to. Amy’s older brothers made them toast with warm apple juice — something Amy used to love when she was a kid.
The whole wedding was such a hoot and definitely one we’ll never forget!
Now here we are at their one year wedding anniversary. It has been an absolute joy and pleasure to watch them continue to grow in love. They welcomed the cutest baby boy to their family a couple months ago.
Our #ADMCouples are the definition of kind, down to earth, hardworking human beings who have fun, laugh loud, know how to party, put each other first, and live to make a difference. Amy and Steve are exactly that. We serve the best human beings ever!

Danielle from Danielle G. Events is the planner behind this tropical wedding editorial. It was hosted at Mark’s Caribbean Kitchen in downtown Kitchener, a restaurant that serves food influenced from the West Indies. You won’t just get the vibe of the Caribbean through their food, but through their restaurant interior design as well! Danielle wanted to create a bridal editorial hosted at Mark’s Caribbean Kitchen to encourage brides that it is possible to have a small, intimate wedding hosted at a local restaurant, and still have all the decor and details of a tropical-inspired wedding.
The table setting was set up near the front entrance of the restaurant, which had a large window for beautiful, natural light. Jessica from Jessica Hobson Event Artistry did the stunning tropical floral arrangements for the table, the bouquet, the wicker chair, and the cake. The palm leaves and the large, colourful flowers are what made the tropical vibes come to life! The cake, made with white and orange buttercream to keep with the tropical theme, was created by Julie from Refined Sugar Cakes.
The invitations were hand painted and printed by Krista and her husband at Team Gee Designs. The lush botanical images were perfect for the tropical soiree. It’s so important your invitations hint at the theme of your wedding! It sets the vibe and expectation for the guests you’ve invited. You wouldn’t wear a full suit to a tropical themed wedding, #amiright?
Since we were in the heart of downtown Kitchener, it wasn’t hard to find beautiful backdrops for the rest of the bridal portraits! Most wedding venues have various locations on site for wedding portraits. When you have an intimate wedding at a restaurant, not so much! If you’re willing to go out and explore what’s around you, there are plenty of opportunities everywhere!

Meet Felicity and Brady!
We were so excited to FINALLY take their engagement photos. We had set date after date because the weather just kept letting us down. They wanted their session in the snow…but it just kept raining
…in January and February (ugh global warming!)
There was supposed to be a snow storm the day before, except a lot of it melted the day of (LOL FAIL). But it didn’t stop us! We hiked into the forest despite the wind and -20 degree weather and ended up with a session full of laughter and genuine candids! From trying to balance on the frozen creek to trying to get her beautiful horse to pose, we had a blast! These two are the most laid back and adventurous couple. We originally planned to have their tent set up for camping photos and threw in the idea to take pictures with their dirt bikes – which didn’t end up happening at all, but their fun and spontaneous personalities were so evident just by being with them!
Quotes worth mentioning:
1. “Can I hold your legs, I promise I’m not harassing you. I just don’t want to fall.”
2. Me: What’s your horse’s name?
Felicity: Because she’s….grey.
(lololol i thought she was going to say graceful haha!)
3. Me: Brady, make her laugh.
Brady: Uhm…..I think she’s better at making me laugh.
Felicity: Yeah I’m so funny I make myself laugh. I’m so great.
We had a blast, Felicity & Brady! We can’t wait for your 2018 spring wedding!
