“We don’t just get to grow old together, we get to grow up together – and that’s the real adventure”.
My favourite quote, the one that truly embodies our relationship, for my favourite day of the year. Happy 4th year anniversary to us!
If you know our story, you know we didn’t know each other for very long before we decided to get married. Sometimes I can’t believe we’ve only known each other for a little over 4 years. But at the same time it feels like we’ve known each other forever. Because we only knew each other for a short period of time, there were a lot of things I never could have imagined would blossom into our lives since being together.
I never imagined that I, the one who wanted to be a teacher since the 2nd grade, would be running a business with my husband where we are constantly looking for ways to innovate and improve ourselves, our business, and the experience we provide out clients.
I never imagined that I, the girl who grew up in Toronto and is a city girl through and through, would be living in Guelph while my husband attends the local university – a city we both absolutely adore and a university where we’ve made cherished friends and met so many other amazing students because of our job.
I never imagined that this guy, the one who had his sights on computer programming, would fall in love with photography and change his major to studio art.
I never imagined that this guy, the one who hates dancing and married himself into a dancing-loving family, would be the one to start showing me dance moves we both try to attempt in the silliest ways.
I never imagined that this guy, the one who cautioned me while we were dating, “I’m very sarcastic and not sensitive”, would be such a charming sweetheart who is very intuitive to my feelings.
I never imagined that we, the ones who had a low-budget wedding because we were only engaged for 3 months, now invest in anniversary sessions every year to capture how we’ve changed and grown over the years.
Forever grateful for my partner in all things. Happy 4 years to us, Bebeko. Thank you for being you. I love you, lover!

Danielle from Danielle G. Events is the planner behind this tropical wedding editorial. It was hosted at Mark’s Caribbean Kitchen in downtown Kitchener, a restaurant that serves food influenced from the West Indies. You won’t just get the vibe of the Caribbean through their food, but through their restaurant interior design as well! Danielle wanted to create a bridal editorial hosted at Mark’s Caribbean Kitchen to encourage brides that it is possible to have a small, intimate wedding hosted at a local restaurant, and still have all the decor and details of a tropical-inspired wedding.
The table setting was set up near the front entrance of the restaurant, which had a large window for beautiful, natural light. Jessica from Jessica Hobson Event Artistry did the stunning tropical floral arrangements for the table, the bouquet, the wicker chair, and the cake. The palm leaves and the large, colourful flowers are what made the tropical vibes come to life! The cake, made with white and orange buttercream to keep with the tropical theme, was created by Julie from Refined Sugar Cakes.
The invitations were hand painted and printed by Krista and her husband at Team Gee Designs. The lush botanical images were perfect for the tropical soiree. It’s so important your invitations hint at the theme of your wedding! It sets the vibe and expectation for the guests you’ve invited. You wouldn’t wear a full suit to a tropical themed wedding, #amiright?
Since we were in the heart of downtown Kitchener, it wasn’t hard to find beautiful backdrops for the rest of the bridal portraits! Most wedding venues have various locations on site for wedding portraits. When you have an intimate wedding at a restaurant, not so much! If you’re willing to go out and explore what’s around you, there are plenty of opportunities everywhere!

Meet Felicity and Brady!
We were so excited to FINALLY take their engagement photos. We had set date after date because the weather just kept letting us down. They wanted their session in the snow…but it just kept raining
…in January and February (ugh global warming!)
There was supposed to be a snow storm the day before, except a lot of it melted the day of (LOL FAIL). But it didn’t stop us! We hiked into the forest despite the wind and -20 degree weather and ended up with a session full of laughter and genuine candids! From trying to balance on the frozen creek to trying to get her beautiful horse to pose, we had a blast! These two are the most laid back and adventurous couple. We originally planned to have their tent set up for camping photos and threw in the idea to take pictures with their dirt bikes – which didn’t end up happening at all, but their fun and spontaneous personalities were so evident just by being with them!
Quotes worth mentioning:
1. “Can I hold your legs, I promise I’m not harassing you. I just don’t want to fall.”
2. Me: What’s your horse’s name?
Felicity: Gracie.
Me: Aww
Felicity: Because she’s….grey.
(lololol i thought she was going to say graceful haha!)
3. Me: Brady, make her laugh.
Brady: Uhm…..I think she’s better at making me laugh.
Felicity: Yeah I’m so funny I make myself laugh. I’m so great.
We had a blast, Felicity & Brady! We can’t wait for your 2018 spring wedding!
Much love,
Ariana & Alex del Mundo
