Best of 2019: Behind the Scenes
2019 was a fabulous year. You have seen all the amazing ADM Couples we get to work with, featured on our Best of Engagements and Best of Weddings blog posts. What you don’t see is all the fun we have behind the scenes! Behind all the pretty and romantic photographs, you don’t see the stuff we do to “get the shot”, you don’t see the way we interact with our clients, you don’t see US. So! Here are some of our most fun, awkward, and silly behind the scene photos of 2019!
Before we begin, let’s get this important question out of the way. Who squatted better? Alex…
Or Ariana?
Our job description consists of a lot of things. Sometimes it requires that Alex act like the bride…
And sometimes it requires Ariana to be standing up at the front, alone, with the sun in her eyes…
With all these test shots, you’d think we were pros at striking a pose for each other…
Sometimes, not so much…
Occasionally it makes for great Instagram content (part of the job is acting like models. lol jk)…
But most of the time, it’s awko-taco! We tend to catch each other off guard…
Other times, the struggle is remembering that we don’t need to come up with a different pose for each test shot…
Especially when done in front of a bunch of people…
“Stop the paparazzi, please!”
We work hard to help our ADM Couples look their best!
Along with all their friends and family, too!
To make life easier, we’ll bring our handy cart along to carry all the things…
And if your session is in Toronto, you’ll occasionally see one of Ariana’s sisters lending a hand as well!
We’re basically directors. And being a director often means a lot of weird hand movements captured. Ariana always looks like she’s directing a choir…
And Alex tends to channel his inner CIA agent.

This is what I’m actually doing though lol!
From teaching our couples how to shake champagne bottles to collecting your wedding party’s phones to avoid pocket bulges, we’ve got your back!
We’ll do anything to get the right angles for you! We’ll go high…
And low…
And even attempt to climb large objects just to get the shot!
We’ll test all types of light and make sure you get the best one…
We believe teamwork makes the dream work! Shoutout to the videographers who gameplan with us for the best footage from all cameras present!
They even help us make sure every detail is perfect!
And shoutout to your pups for keeping us company 😉
